Your glasses take care of your vision every day — but how well are you taking care of them? I always tell patients this: how you treat your glasses affects how well you see.
Always clean your lenses with clean water and a microfiber cloth. Your shirt may feel convenient, but it can scratch the lenses over time. When you’re not wearing your glasses, store them in a case, not on the bed or dashboard — heat and pressure can bend frames and damage coatings.
Avoid placing your glasses face-down, and please don’t use household cleaners or alcohol on them. A quick professional adjustment during your clinic visit can also keep them sitting comfortably and aligned.
Your glasses are an investment in your sight — treat them with care.
